Community Map
We're building a map to show self-reported health data at a community level. It isn't ready yet. Here's exactly what it will and won't show once it launches.
What it will show
- Aggregated, anonymized counts, for example by community village or zip code
- Primary coverage of Orange County, with room for reports from other California communities
- Trends over time, once there's enough aggregated data to show them responsibly
What it will never show
- Individual homes or streets
- Any information that could identify a specific person or family
- Case counts small enough, combined with other details, to identify someone
This promise isn't just a design choice: it's a condition of building the map at all. If we can't aggregate a data point without risking someone's privacy, we won't display it.
